Updating Reviews of BSA Software

You may have seen reviews of software for BSA troops on other web sites.  Mr. Norman Turrill originally compiled a comprehensive list in April 1999 for his own purposes, which he was kind enough to share with the Scouting community and which was published on several sites. Currently he plans to update that information on an annual basis.

Trooper 2.0 is a significant upgrade to the earlier version included in Mr. Turrill's original compilation, so we have updated the information from his review below. Please contact us if you would like a copy of the original document (Word 6.0 format), updated to include the current information reflecting our new version (note that other software may have been updated in the meantime also). Also note that some of his original review comments pertaining to usability and performance were subjective in nature. Although the previous version was not evaluated by Mr. Turrill, Trooper excels in these categories, and you can download our free evaluation version to form your own opinions. Also see our list of features for this new version.

Many of the items listed here are planned for a future version of Trooper. We would love to know your specific feature requests!
